The outer happiness is momentary and one has to try really hard to cling on to it with a constant fear that it may disappear. The ones who discover and master the art of enjoying inner joy lead an incredible life without any fear of losing and not running after attainments in worldly terms to gather moments of outer happiness. Great going, Mohika.

Soul is an entity which is not earthly but from heavens that's why there's always an internal void we feel which can't be fulfilled with achievements of worldly life rather the true satisfaction of soul is from it's creator or God, universe where it truly belongs...

This is my first time reading your post. Your writing is beautiful!

God knows I really needed to read this today.. a day when I had started to question some weeds in my garden, I am not happy about them, I want a perfect garden, blooming with white flowers every where, perfectly mowed lawn, with leveled bougainvillea shrubs, climbers trimmed and climbing on my beautiful garden pergola… everything just perfect.. but like life gardens can also be not perfect .. and may be this is want I had to learn today, what gives my garden character is that small bird nest stuck on champa branches, a bowl full of bajra, the honeysuckle branches going everywhere but still full of the bunches spreading its scent everywhere around.. a cat visiting now and then… finding beauty in the things imperfect .. realizing happiness is now in the moment (sometimes happiness is overrated too.. all we want is a calm peaceful mind and soul) … and how-so-ever u make ur garden perfect, u will see that as life happens so do weeds…. Thank u Mo .. u are my shinning star ❤️

Voids that arise from the internal cannot be filled through achievements from the external. They can only be filled from the inside.

Solid piece, Mo.

Ooohh I like this analogy. I have a big weed that has been poking me a lot lately. I need to sit down with it and find out what she’s trying to tell me

Schopenhauer argues that life is suffering, because we will always oscillate between desire and boredom. Your first section explores this well ... We must know what achievements cannot give us. There's wisdom in chasing things while at the same time being aware of their limitations.

I love how you brought up Schopenhauer! It's interesting how knowing the limitations of our desires can actually bring us a sense of peace. Do you think it’s about chasing things with a lighter heart, knowing their impermanence, or focusing more on the quieter moments that don’t rely on achieving anything? Curious to hear your thoughts!

I think it's all three, esp 2 and 3. Most of life is these quieter moments. Here, we should just exist, not aim for anything. But there is pursuit too, and goals take work and effort, sometimes even disproportionate to the prize. With this, it is best to embrace impermanence. While it's important, while it'll cost us, it won't last.
