From the moment I have slowed down and have decided to strike a balance in my work and my personal space, I am able to do justice to the bondings that truly matter to me. When I say justice, I am able to empathise with my loved ones and have time to understand their stance, reaction and approach towards various aspects of which I think otherwise. You have discovered and beautifully shared a lesson for life. Keep it up, Mohika.
I really like this sentence: "Each interaction, a wave that shapes the shoreline of our connections." It's so true, and also so helpfully visual. Thank you for the reminder to take a deep breath before reacting (usually when I do that, I find out I've been holding my breath instead 😳).
I've been trying to leave space between others' words and my reactions. When I give my reactions space to breathe before replying, I find that I am often coming from a defensive place, and giving myself time to process that allows the truth of what my friends are saying to come in, and my friends are always speaking to me with love.
JIMMMM you made my morning. FYI, i woke up feeling rusty. So sensitive. No special reason, just emotional & eh. & then I read your comment and took a deeeeep breath in. Out. I felt better. Thank you!
Amazing work, Mohika! I really enjoyed this piece.
I recently lashed out and shouted at my best friend in a heated conversation, which was out of character for me. It happened due to my frustration at her tone and rudeness in earlier conversations.
As much as I was right to be frustrated and upset, I shouldn’t have shouted. This is something I’m intent on not happening again and your advice will definitely help me in making that happen.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed the piece. I appreciate you sharing your experience with me. It's completely understandable to feel frustrated and react in ways we normally wouldn't. Recognizing that and wanting to improve is already a big step forward.
I'm so happy to hear that my advice resonated with you. It's great that you're committed to handling things differently in the future. Best of luck, and I'm sure you'll navigate these situations with even more grace and understanding. Take care!!
This is a beautiful reflection Mo and I completely agree sometimes, taking a pause before replying can be miraculous in all relationships. It's just building the awareness of identifying a turbulent mind and no point of giving a response when your mind is at that stage.
You look very pretty in these pictures and I am a July baby too. I do have some friends of July and always has a feeling that there is something about July people :)

You're so right! I sometimes forget to breathe and it's almost always in moments I need to breathe most!!
