Mo, this is like my hearts talking, I too am like this except for the rushing and moving part. I am at one place, comforted, rested, doing things I love but still I am unhappy, like there is a hole which is never shut like never. And yes I have been in this spiral of fixing things which I assume is broken but its actually not and this is so exhausting. All the restfulness and guilt that cones with it, is soo exhausting again. I hope you find that peace you are searching.

P.S. I too cannot lie more than 2-3 minutes in savasana.😁

To me, I used to strive for improvement further and better and felt a void within and always. I started searching for scope for improvement in every element and dimension and true moments of joy stayed miles away from me. Later I realized that there are many aspects that are fine and are bound to get refined naturally. It slowed me down and I started enjoying the fact that not every thing is broken which implies no fixing is needed. Loved it, Mohika.

I wanted to leave a comment but there's no comment or post button! So, I'll have to try something else! I see the post button just appeared! I just wanted to tell you, you sound like you are always on the go! You never sit still! I always sit! And there's a million things I should be doing but my back, knees or other part of my body aches! But when I was your age, I was always doing something! But, at 74, it's a little hard to do anything when my back aches every time I try to do something! So, I sit with a heating pad and sometimes with my kitty! But you need to slow down, make the morning last (I can't think of the name of that song . I think it's called "Feeling Groovy".) and stop and smell the roses! See you later, Alligator, in a while, Crocodile!

Aww Connie, this message made me smile so big! 😊 I'm sorry to hear your back and knees ache, but sitting with your kitty and a cozy heating pad sounds like such a comforting little moment. I bet you deserve all the rest! 💖 I do need to slow down and smell the roses more—thank you for the sweetest reminder! 🌸 That song you mentioned is definitely "Feelin' Groovy"—so perfect! 🎶 I'll try to make the mornings last longer, just for you!

Take it easy, beautiful! And... see you later, Alligator! 🐊 In a while, Crocodile! Sending you a big, warm hug! 💕

Hi Mo, I'm sitting for a few minutes with my heating pad. I started to run the vacuum but my back started to hurt and I feel a bit nauseous,. But I have to get back to it. But now I'm watching, Murder She Wrote on Hallmark Channel. And I took a water pill, so I have to run to the bathroom! I'll see you soon. Connie

Hello Mo,

Wonderful piece of pondering! As I read, I started to giggle....my goodness, girl, you are so much like myself at your age! Now, some may say you need a 'focus', but my experience (hindsight is 20/20) is that those 'squirrelly' days are priceless; those times are teaching! You are learning.....about everything you are looking for in life. So, learn!!! With that, what your father may be trying to impart: Just don't fly so fast that you miss where you've been (you'll want those moments to reflect on later) and not everything needs to be accomplished all at once. No reinventing the wheel--what happens in life happens, whether we are chasing it or not. Go with the flow, like a river....enjoy those smooth parts, but take heed of the rapids, they can knock you out of the boat and change your float. (Hope that makes sense...my eyes are tired today.) Like me, you will come to an age soon enough to 'sit your butt down' and all your experience chasing...will make THE BEST stories for your grandkids! For always, take it all in, know that not everything can be orchestrated, and what is meant for you will come whether you are chasing it or not! Love you and blessings, ~Wendy💜

where I could build a monument for you and your father? oh yes I know... in my heart... oh you already are... here... with me... such a wonderful wonder you both are. Yes we are not here to fix anything, nothing is broken...nobody is broken... life is not broken... life is a river... that was here long before I came... what a fool would I be... to try to fix it... fix means hold in place... and life needs to flow... to be loved... to be enjoyed... all of it.. specially the rocks in the river... appreciate... love... everything... what you are...

I’m crying reading this. You’re a wise soul Forrest. I feel so blessed to share this space with you. That’s a wonderful way of looking at life. We can be rivers. Keep flowing. Surrendering. Loving. Thank you. I think I got 20% more wise reading your response to my essay! But knowing you a little, you’ll probably tell me I am not more not less of anything, I am complete!
