Hey Mo, binged some of your essays this morning. Thank you for sharing your life online. I agree with some of the comments above, it’s amazing how with your writing, you’ve had me believe that I know you. Yet of course I barely do. But I guess each Wednesday we change that.

I am from Delhi too, born here, and lived mostly here ever since. So I can relate all too well with the Banyans, the Amaltas, the decision to walk in 45 degrees heat! It’s great to see how you’ve enlivened all of that in your writing. I write and create art too and these are surely topics of my own to visualise in my art. Perhaps I’d share some of it on my newsletter soon. And with you of course.

Again, thank you for sharing thoughts, it is a delight to read.

Hey Karan! I LOVEEEE comments like these so much. First off, thank you for finding my work and choosing to binge! 💞 That's makes me smile so much. Choosing to share my work on Substack has been one of the best decisions of this year. We're all part of a beautiful growing network all over the world of readers and writers from all walks of life!! I'm so happy to connect with you here and so thrilled to know you're from Delhi! Maybe we bump into each other some time that'll be so cool hahaha!

Thank you so much once again for subscribing to Mo's Magazine! I have also saved your two latest posts to read later today. Can't wait to experience your words & art! 💖

Makes me smile back at the screen! You’re welcome, of course, Mo’s Magazine is a warm hug and who doesn’t like that.

Yes, Substack has been a warm, supportive environment from the get go for me too. It’s amazing how the same people feel and behave differently on social media but you come here and you know it’s about feelings, goodwill, and love.

And thank you as well for taking the time, would love to hear your thoughts on the writing and the art alike.

Another SPLENDID, SPLENDID piece of writing and thought! Mo, you bring such precious consideration to everything in life!!! This one brought a tear to my eye.... No, not a sorrowful tear, but a tear of great appreciation and joy for the message of love and hope that you give all of us! Fall is my favorite time of year! After reading your post and listening to your narration, I would say I better understand why! Thank you for that! Love you BEYOND, precious friend! As always, looking forward to reading MORE! Blessings to you. ~Wendy 💜

Beautiful piece. Always appreciate a reminder like this. Living according to the ego is a constant pattern of ups and downs. We’re attracted to it because it “keeps life interesting”. Little do we know that when we let that go, a whole new type of interest shows up and we begin to see details in things we never saw. A bee landing on a flower early in the morning, two birds flying in sync together towards the nearest cloud in the sky. And the leaves’ pattern as you described in your writing. 💯Thanks for sharing this

Oh Nick! Thanks for highlighting parts you've loved and making time to engage with my work. So happpy! You’re so right—when we let go of the ego, a whole new world opens up.

Mohika, your post reminded me of a Mitch Albom quote: “Don't let go too soon, but don't hold on too long.”

It makes me wonder if there’s a balance to everything, a kind of middle. Which led me to Pema Chodron’s “Everybody's middle way is a different middle way. Everyone practices in order to find out for him or herself personally how to be balanced, how to be not too tight and not too loose. No one else can tell you. You just have to find out for yourself.”

Lots to think about!

You’re damn right! you’ve quoted two powerful author’s here, both so wise and skilled! I’ve read mitch’s work cover to cover but Pema’s not so much! Anything you recommend? Also, thank you so much for reading this week’s essay!

Mo!!!! I wrote my first comment "me too" impulsively after your "I love you" since I feel so connected with you and your writing as if we knew each other after many years. I know this is unreal but it's how I feel. Now I have a little bit more time and I need to tell you that you are so filled of love, beauty and kindness that when you feel crushed, your ego bruised, your expectations shattered... you don't need to let go. Simply be what you are. Love all of you with all your love within you. your feelings, your expectations, your ego are part of you, but they are not you. You are love. Love you 🙏✨🥰

Forrest! What you said about not needing to let go, but instead just being who I am, really stuck with me. It’s a reminder I need sometimes—that all the messy parts are just that, parts, not the whole. And yeah, at the core, it’s all about love. Thank you for being so open and real. It means a lot to have someone who gets it. Love you too 🙏✨🥰

Mo!! How beautiful each and every word, gripping, meaningful, relatable, interesting and insightful. Who ever is going through the phase of non accomplishments can find hope, there always is hope and the mindset to keep going. Thanks for making my day today. Needed to hear something like this.

I love you.

Your words just made my day! I’m so glad the piece resonated with you. We all go through those phases where it feels like nothing’s moving, but yes, there’s always hope and a reason to keep pushing forward. Thank you for sharing this with me—it means the world to know that what I wrote connected with you. I love you too! 💖
