We are the source of our happiness and sorrow. So, bringing out our childish and childlike attributes atleast occasionally make you understand the real meaning of being carefree no matter how terrible the situations are.

I love dosa any time and anyday and in every kind of situation especially when the rough weather is in dominance. I do not know how creative it was, but it was a disaster for certain. I obtained my bank account number I had forgotten about for ages and noted it down on a piece of paper and started making shapes using each digit and forgot many by the end. I need to wait for another few days before obtaining it again. But that's life and thinking of it make me feel ticklish. 😜😜

I like to eat chocolate when I’m stressed. Or curd rice with pickles.

Mess and disasters freak me out before. But after becoming a mom, I started getting used to any kind of chaos. I just sit on it and pick up the work when I feel like doing.

Also, I love how you express yourself in here.

What I love most about this is your attitude! "Life is topsy turvy, and not everything needs to be polished, perfect, or even done on time. The beauty for me is in letting the coffee stains dry and calling it character. The spill is part of the process. That’s where the fun and the wisdom lies." (I didn't include the "or maybe I'm being lazy", because you had it right from the start.)

Once upon a time, spilling something or having the messy, unplanned thing plop in my lap, would have nearly ruined my day. Now, shoosh, life is too short and precious to give a rat's behind about the mess! I take deep breaths and often ask, "God, I wasn't planning on mopping the floor until tomorrow, but it seems it can't be put off, now...are you telling me to stop the procrastinating?" Then, tomorrow arrives and wouldn't you know something FAR MORE important than the mopping of floors happens and that time I would have been giving to mopping is now gratefully available to do the important stuff. Then, like you, there are times when I just give a good sigh and leave the mess made until I see a good opportunity to take care of it; the world won't stop spinning if it's not taken care of this very second.

My most recent creative mishap came with my rush to complete a post. I decided to move a large portion of the text I had directly typed on the new post page, so I 'cut' it with intent to paste it. Then, something brought distraction and when I returned to my work, I had forgotten that I hadn't yet pasted and went on to cut and paste something else....then, realized the first 'cut' was now GONE! I fully wanted to cry. I could have, but instead, I took a deep breath and as I will often tell myself, it wasn't meant to be what it was or this wouldn't have happened, so open up a word document and write what really needs to be there. To my amazement, the second go was FAR better than the first. So, what seemed a loss was actually a WIN!

My comfort food, since my mom passed, is a Swedish pancake with loads of whipped cream. My other is takeout from our favorite Szechuan restaurant; we've been going there for 26 years. Their Ginger Chicken and House Fried Rice is SO GOOD! (If I am feeling less health conscious, the McD's fish filet and fries will change my mood!) HaaHaa! Love you, Mo and love this post! It's perfect! ~Wendy💜🤗

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with so much heart! I can just picture you pausing, broom in hand, pondering a nudge from the universe to let things be a little topsy-turvy.

I think every writer has that moment when words are suddenly gone, and the panic is real. But you’re absolutely right: sometimes, what comes next is the true gem. (Isn't it funny how we tend to think the first version is everything, only to be stunned by the second try?) It’s amazing how we learn to trust these weirdly inconvenient moments.

Wendy you made my day!!!!!!!! Sending you a big hug, lots of love, and maybe even a little imaginary plate of Swedish pancakes topped with way too much whipped cream 💜

Yes! YES! I have always liked the phrase 'come what may' and it certainly has a place in this topic. Sometimes, my challenge is in letting it come how it will, as I do prefer the "easy" way! Heehee

Our best work isn't always easily birthed, but when it does emerge, oh WOW! Then, we have so much more to celebrate! Thank you for the hugs and love, and the Swedish pancakes! All a great start to this DAY! Love and LOVE your way! ~Wendy💜🤗✨💞

My comfort food is a Spanish Omelette or Tortilla de Patatas the way my youth exchange host parent taught me. Olive oil, eggs, potatos, onions and salt. That's it.

So enjoyed reading about your day. Your new design is spilled coffee, now thats quick thinking. Not a disaster but I spent all one afternoon going through ALL my boxes and albums of old style non-digital photos to find two photos of the two family cats of my childhood. Of course as is the way of pre online research I found them after hours of (enjoyable) search in the very bottom of the last box. It always happens that way! My comfort food is a rich, fatty cheesy macaroni or cauliflower cheese that I bake myself and feel better for eating it.

Jane, thank you for this lovely snapshot of your own day! I totally get it—the deep dive into old photo boxes can easily turn into an afternoon adventure. But oh, the feeling of finally finding those two sweet family cat photos must have been so worth it. And I love the sound of your comfort food! A cozy, cheesy baked dish just hits the spot, especially when it’s homemade!!

When I’m in particularly creative bursts I have all these plans for projects. It’s exciting. Until, without fail, I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall back asleep because of the ideas bouncing around. So this morning I was supposed to be up early and do all these cool things, but I was awake from 3 am to when my alarm went off at 6:30. Amazing how easy it was to fall asleep once it went off…

I really look forward to reading your fun and interesting newsletters every week! Teddy is laying on top of me. While My legs are up on the recliner with my compression boots on. He slept with me all night, right next to my face! I could hardly move! Yesterday, Teddy climbed up on the screen door when I was on the porch! I had to help him down! My son changed the screen last night with the storm window! It's cold in the mornings! It's only in the 40's now! I need a cup of coffee! And my son took out the AC! I'll see my son tomorrow. Tomorrow is trash night. Trash is picked up on Friday. I see my son during the week or on weekends since he moved out in December. Well, my hour is up, so I'm going to make a cup of coffee. And Teddy? He jumped off a while ago! I don't know where he is! Later. I forgot to say that I too leave dirty dishes in the sink for one or two or three days! When I run out of clean mugs or utensils, then I do them!

Connie! Your message had me grinning the whole way through. What a day! Teddy sounds like such a character, climbing screen doors and keeping you pinned down at night! I can totally picture him as the little "boss" of the household, making his rounds and deciding when and where he’ll next pop up. And I love this cozy morning ritual you have with coffee (even if it means finally tackling the dishes)!

Very rarely have french fries, but when I do, I am damn well going to enjoy them. How about reframing creatively disastrous as creative crisis? Crisis means opportunity. Creatively that meant opening up to my readers when I didn’t want to. Left me feeling skinless for the past few days. Those who commented were very supportive. More opportunities for building community.

YES! I have rarely not enjoyed french fries. Maybe when they get soggy or dry! I love to have them crisp and hot right awayyy. Also, being vulnerable is so underrated and I feel it truly connects us all to each other <3

Umm, i dunno, i dont think i had any disasters this week, besides my haircut maybe lol. Tried a new barber. Awesome dude, and not a bad cut honestly, just gave me a skin fade when I didnt want one.

And foods, well, whatever snacky thing's in closest proximity. Usually sweets around the house, but often time we won't have any so then you do the whole walk around the kitchem and open the fridge 5 times and walk away without having eaten anything.

And yes, you can definitely do better fhan mcdonalds. It's on BDS's boycott list of companies that support you know who. Mcdonald doesn't deserve you and your money. I'm sure you can find a much much better go to alternative for a pick me up food.

YOU'RE SO RIGHT. I didn't know about the BDS boycott list, so thank you so much for educating me. It is def unhealthy maxxxx.

Thank you for reading and sharing parts of your life with me, I lovee it! I bet you look amazing with the new haircut. Opening and closing the fridge and all cabinets hoping something interesting magically appears is my favourite way to procrastinate hahaha!

For me luckily there was no creative disaster but I don't eat anything when I'm stressed or I'm knee deep in shit. Sort of have been in the last month on and off and I lost 0.5 kgs!

Look Maa I'm looking at the positive side 😂

I hope the stress goes away soon! It does have a way of keeping us on our toes. But we need better coping mechanisms for sureeee. I usually break down crying! I hope tides turn in your favor!

I'm thinking of trying to live in the present and not worry about how I'll sabotage myself in the future xP

I hope this helps me. But I really look forward to these Wednesday posts of yours - keep 'em coming!😎
