Cosmic Chaos - Mercury's In Retrograde (Again)!
& I need to protect everyone I love, including you :)
April is one of my favorite months. Could come off as strange, but I have my reasons. I love bright early mornings. Getting up before dawn and feeling like the responsibilities of the day are still thousand miles away. The hours before the sun comes out are mine and mine alone.
There’s a feeling that you can get sometimes after Christmas & New Years holidays, when the bustle of celebration and gathering is finally over, and the time has come to get caffeinated, go on a long brisk walk, and disappear into a really good book.
It’s a clean month, a private month. Also, a brand new quarter in the year - made for fresh starts and new projects.
The days are slowly getting longer, and the wheel of the seasons has turned once again, so that you can look down the long corridor of summer heat and see winter waiting for you at the other end of it.
...here comes the retrograde!
So you know how we talk about the planets moving around in the sky?
Well, sometimes it looks like the planet Mercury is moving backward instead of forward. We call this "Mercury retrograde."
When this happens, some people believe that things can get a little mixed up and confusing.
Like, imagine if you wrote a love letter but it never got delivered, or you sent an email and it went to the wrong person! It can also make travel plans a bit tricky.
Even though it might seem a bit chaotic, it's also a good time to think about things that happened in the past. Some people even say that during Mercury retrograde, you might feel like you have really strong feelings about things, and sometimes you notice some really cool coincidences happening around you.
So, while it might be a little bumpy, there can also be some interesting things to learn and discover during Mercury retrograde times!
What You Should Do When Mercury is Retrograde
I feel really peaceful when I'm near water, like at a calm lake or a quiet beach. I think being kind and caring is super important, and I always try to show love to the people who are important to me. During the retrograde I feel torn between my understanding of the world.
Personal flops 2 days into the retrograde:
Lost my favorite earrings (twice!)
Accidentally quoted 80k as paid marketing budget instead of 10k - on an email where at least 5 important people were CC-ed :|
Been dropping forks & phones all day today
Some of you may call me simply clumsy (but I think it's a sign!)
Pause & Ponder
because it's going to last the whole month
April 01 to April 24 (yikes!)
Sometimes life throws us a few curveballs, but that doesn't mean we have to stop having fun or doing what we love.
It's important to plan ahead and think about what we might do if things don't go exactly as we expect. That means having backup plans ready just in case!
Before I make you believe that all I believe revolves around the sun and moon and countless stars, know this - I fail to put the blame on them. Keeping humor aside, sometimes my inner dialogue (despite outer circumstances) is Leaning Tower of Pisa lopsided.
When bad things happen, I cry. I indulge in negative self talk. Forget to eat.
Happens to you? Well, welcome here to our private chat of two.
Positivity is not my default. Although, I’m learning to take a beat. Process & proceed.
I try to shed old skin. Let go of who I think I have to be in that moment. Life is open-ended even though we all come with in-built stop watches.
& that means we are free to dream who we choose to become.
